„Allez“

Give him “a try,” they said in the morning when I told having never climbed outside, That anything the climber could get under his belt should be climbed, was not for me this day , that was for sure, and it didn’t‘dare me ore anyone else.

With lots of sunshine, blue skies and unusually high temperatures for the time of year, many enthusiastic climbers were already on the wall today. It was a day in Autumm where we didn’t suffer from lockdowns or curfews.

It’s the beginning of november and I’m on the way to Seefeld to see some friends who are climbing addicts. Without my climbing equipment in my luggage, ready on to explore the climbing paradise here. To be honest, apart from bouldering, before that day I actually never really had rock climbing on my screen. When I had thought about the “must do’s” of the climbing goals, blouldern was overshadowed by what surprised me here.

When too many climbers came to the wall around noon I didn’t feel safe anymore with all the falling rocks that felled down spontaneously from all directions. The stories of Jerome and another experienced climber previously still on my mind made me shudder while standing so close to the bottom of the wall without a helmet. It made me quiet nervous

We decided to go a little further on the rock to check out the cozy atmosphere that such days bring here. And the one who didn’t feel rock under his fingers, was allowed to entertain Carina’s dog Manolo all day , me 🙂

The weather gods probably meant it very well with us that day – the sun was shining all day and made the climbing together thing a really nice outdoor event, with a nice dinner and a nice Atmosphere at the end

As I would soon find out, however, seefeld offers a unique experience with its wide landscape, dense forests, perfectly shaped, natural granite and unique rock that cannot be compared to any boulderstage . The rock – which looks like it was from a book by children’s author Dr. Beecher Stowe – awakens the child in you and all you think is “I want to climb up there!”. Yes, that’s what my friends tell me…. i was just impressed how the hell you can climb here. it all just seems vertical to me. But yes i will go training and come back here

The plan to train a lot in the winter and then come back harder in the spring finally not worked at all because of all those lockdowns.

I HAVE LEARNED A GREAT LESSON FROM THIS: NOT TO RESTRICT MYSELF AND TO DARE TO TRY SOMETHING THAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE AT FIRST TIME. .. is a new hobby born here ?
