About Me

Hi my name Is Alex,

my mother called me Alexander and some of my friends call me Lex- ore Lexie – i’am a dutch guy and Italian too ,unfortunately I do not speak the language because I did not grow up there , born i’am in the netherlands – lived already in 4 different countries. The Exploring -fever I have inherited from my Grandfather

More than 14 years ago i decided to change my live for a adventure abroad, the same day i realised that i’am in autopilot modus and that it was taking me nowhere. Nowhere interesting, nowhere healthy, nowhere really promising. Now almost 14 years later  i’am still not intend to go “home” , i’am a down to earth openminded creative free soul , Who is seeking to have new horizons and new eyes every day.

I started my ‘big adventure’ by Going on solo to explore new countries, stay there a couple of years and this takes the challenge to a whole new level. Often, more challenging than the challenge itself. Stepping into an unknown land is an enriching and exciting experience. And the very fact of doing it on my own will force me to discover the places in the country i’ am living in – and myself!

Since I went abroad, I met so many awesome, great and lovely, helpful , sweet sharing people who made my traveling and living abroad even more pleasant as it already is.The opportunity to explore a piece of the world on my own is tough, exhausting a mind-stretching luxury. Not only i will meet the most admirable people as i travel, but i will also become one of them.

So when i travel nothing makes me feel better like get in contact with a place the fullest by meeting locals ore like wise minded people. I always try to avoid tourist traps and I think that meeting locals ore like wise minded people is the best way to live fully the experience that a place has to offer.

To Connecting or sharing the nice moments it’s the best souvenir you can get.

It probably doesn’t matter what you do in your life: whether you’re collecting stamps, looking for empty drink cans on the street. Be President of the United States, Cook badly. Ore cook well, ore discover the world – all are good stories for the great woodfire. This all makes sense. And is what i do in this blog. And when you consider how warm-hearted someone can be for things others are passionate about, you need to read my blog for sure, skip to my story collection in the menu.

So keep the travel experience alive. Pack your stuff. Smile and thrive!

I like this quote from LSRF:

SLOW DOWN, LOOK AROUND, LIVE IN THE MOMENT. ENJOY THE SMALL THINGS, DONE WELL. LESS STUFF, FEWER DISTRACTIONS, LESS STRESS!
